"...At 8 feet tall and 22 feet long, Ryan Farrell's "Bike Tank" is among the most ambitious installations. Welded together in two weeks, the sculpture, resembling a battle tank, is an assemblage of 16 broken-down bikes housed in a metal skeleton frame..."

Tuesday: "Rough and Tumble" at FAT Village
    ( Phillip Valys/Sun Sentinel / September 3, 2013 )
If you spin by the Projects - North warehouse in FAT Village on Tuesday, you will spot Ryan Farrell's impressive war machine "Bike Tank," a sturdy assemblage of reclaimed metal and bike parts. At 8 feet tall and 22 feet long, when you include the cannon mounted to its turret, the installation could be called a battlebot for the hipster set. You may wonder if the whole contraption is ridable.

"Definitely," Farrell says. "It can be used with a four-person riding team, and it's surprisingly easy to pedal. But it's not going to be operating during the show."
